Finding the right Business Opportunity is vital to your future success working from home. There are a million and one Business Opportunities available online, but how many are for real, and more importantly, how many allow you to make a profit easily?
I’ll bet 80% of Work From Home Business Opportunities are outright scams. Of the remainder, most of them are virtually impossible to make a profit at without a super-human effort and lots of luck. That leaves only about 5% of Business Opportunities that are worth pursuing.
So how do you separate the good from the bad? That’s the problem we all encounter - how do we know which online business to seriously look at? I like to do a lot of reading and research on the net before I get serious about an online business. Trouble is, with the good writers they use to write the sales pages, almost every business opportunity sounds like a home run.
When I find one I really like, I’ll look for good testimonials, preferably with a photo and audio. Written testimonials are just too easy to fake, and are now standard practise for the scam operators out there. I mean seriously, it takes maybe 3 or 4 minutes to write out a testimonial and add a fake name. Mighty tempting for anyone looking to create some excitement about their product.
If I’m reasonably happy with the testimonials I’ll look at their Proof of Income. Lately it has become standard practise for everyone to include this Proof of Income. Again, you’ll have to be careful as these are easy to fake, especially outdated results. Look for very recent results that are regularly updated.
So Proof of Income has passed the smell test, so what’s next? Well I guess I would look at the management and their track record. Have they been successful before, or is this their latest disaster under a new name? History does have a habit of repeating itself, right?
Next I’ll look at the future prospects of this Business Opportunity. What is the life expectancy of this business, and what is management doing to maintain and build value? If I see a Business Opportunity where everyone is giving out ’special deals’ and ‘one-time-offers’ I pass. What’s to stop the members from going into a price-war and dropping the price to break-even levels? And how is a new business owner supposed to compete with the ‘Big Boys’ and their massive marketing campaigns if they are already cutting their prices?
Personally I would run as fast as I could from any online business that gives out special deals and cuts it’s price like that. There are much better long-term Business Opportunities available where the value of the product and the business will be maintained at a very high level.
